99% of printing issues can be resolved by opening the file in the most updated version of ADOBE READER. If you are already in Adobe Reader, chances are you just need to update it (no worries, it’s super easy and free). To resolve the problem, you can open the PDF with the latest Adobe Reader instead, which can be downloaded for free here:

http://www.adobe.com/products/reader.html

It’s important to note that you should open Adobe Reader first and then select the resource you wish to view from within Adobe Reader. To do this, open Adobe Reader and click File–> Open to select the resource from your computer. Just clicking on the PDF alone may still open the PDF in your system’s default program.

None of the Kirsten’s Kaboodle resources require a password to open or print. This issue occurs when PDFs are opened in programs other than Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. To resolve the problem, you can open the PDF with the latest version of Adobe Reader, which can be downloaded for free here:

It’s important to note that you should open Adobe Reader first and then select the resource you wish to view from within Adobe Reader. Most of the time, download issues are temporary and related to an unreliable network connection or browser connection issue that interrupts your download. If you see an error message about the network connection, you should refresh your browser and try again in a few minutes. The issue will often resolve itself.

If you’re trying to download on a school computer, it’s also worth remembering that some schools restrict downloading. If that’s the case, you’ll need to download your file at home instead and save it onto a USB drive or email it to yourself.

It’s probably due to one of two issues:

1.  You’re not using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDF. You can download it for free: http://www.adobe.com/products/reader.html (it’s available for both Mac or PC). Once you download and install Reader, open the PDF again.

2.  You’re using a Mac, and your default PDF viewer isn’t Adobe Acrobat Reader. Macs use an application called Preview by default, which may not work 100% with all PDF files. If your Mac opens the PDF in Preview, follow these steps to open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader instead:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed
  • Highlight the PDF you want to open
  • Go to “File” at the top of your screen
  • Choose “Open With”
  • Select “Adobe Acrobat Reader”
  • After installing Adobe Acrobat Reader, you may be prompted to make it the default program for opening PDF files. It’s a good idea to say yes, so you won’t have to repeat the “Open With” process for every PDF that you want to view or print. There are many applications for PC and Mac that will open a PDF, but Adobe remains the most compatible.

Due to the terms of use we must abide by, unless otherwise noted, you can NOT edit the resource or switch out the clip art. If you purchased a resource that is advertised as editable, you will find editable fields (BE SURE YOU OPEN THE FILE IN THE MOST RECENT VERSION OF ADOBE READER, AS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EDIT THESE FIELDS IN “PREVIEW” MODE). If the file has editable fields, you will find a page of instructions included in the file to help you.

As much as I’d love to say yes, we don’t have the resources to do that at this time. We’re also not able to make resources fully editable for buyers in order to translate them due to the terms of use we must abide by via the clip artists we use.

At Kirsten’s Kabooble, the resources you purchase are delivered electronically. Unlike a t-shirt or a book, you can’t return a PDF after it’s been downloaded or accessed. For that reason, all sales on digital resources are considered final and nonrefundable.

The only exception is if you purchased a resource and never downloaded it. We can check your account to verify and would be happy to refund your purchase in that case.
