Stick and Stone Activities for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade:
This no-prep printable literature unit focuses on Stick and Stone by Beth Ferry for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. It offers opportunities to discuss bullying, perseverance, and friendship. I included activities for Kindergarten through 2nd grade (most appropriate for the first half of 2nd grade).

We used this the first week of school to talk about friendship. The kids still talk about this book and quote the story (in January!). They loved the retelling sticks.
