I love to use coloring pages during the first day of school. I let each student choose a design to color while I go through and organize/label supplies. When they are done, we tape it to their lockers as a reminder throughout the year.

The pages designs were large enough for littler students to color. These were used as placemats for our Grandparents Day celebration. Added color and a nice reminder of the theme we used for the school year.

I love to use this at the beginning of the year when we talk about growth mindset. They also make a very colorful bulletin board display.
Fabulous and Fun in First –
My students ADORE these coloring pages and the affirmation messages on each page are so powerful. They love noticing the differences in each mandala and thinking about the words. After we finished all of the printed affirmations, I started printing the blank ones and letting THEM choose their own affirmation. Incredibly powerful! My students are first graders, so never too young to work on positive self talk :).
