I am teaching students in grades 2 – 5 online, using the “I Am” biography series by Brad Meltzer. The resources that Kirsten’s Kaboodle offers are ADORABLE and the students love the activities. For this unit, the kids made freedom quilts of their own and then shared photos and videos in our virtual classroom. I highly recommend this resource as an addition to Meltzer’s books.

As a student teacher, these have been amazing resources to use in the classroom and help me expand my own lessons! My students have really loved the I am book series. These have so much great information within them to help expand their learning. Most of these lessons have questions to ask that go along with the vocabulary lessons and this one did not. However, that’s not a major issue as that is easy enough to come up with.
