My students enjoyed this resource. We noticed a typo on Phyllis Wheatley’s Story. It stated that she was born in 1753, but was kidnapped in 1961 at the age of 8 years old. She was kidnapped in 1761.

The first and second grade classes used this resource for Wednesday mornings Meaningful Worship and I have been using them to read one story a morning to celebrate Black History Month. My students truly like these stories and they provoke questions, which I truly appreciate.
