I left this with a sub the day that I had to be out. I left it with the wrong Ruby Bridges book! Luckily I had this one too. The sub said that it was kind of a lot. She just read a page at a time and had the kids listen for the answers as she read.

This has to be my favorite unit of the entire year! All of my students were very engaged to the content in this bundle and took in all the information. The packet was easy to follow along with the book by my side and kept everyone engaged every day. This was the perfect unit to use during Black History Month and my students took a lot away from it. Thank you for creating such a wonderful resource!

Last school year during Black History Month. We did this activity and others on Ruby Bridges and then watched the Ruby Bridges movie. My students loved learning about her and loved the movie even more.

During the 2020-21 school year I home schooled my child and this was a life saver. She wanted to read about Ruby Bridges and this helped anchor the reading to academics. Thanks!

This is an easy-to-use resource that did a fair job of assessing my students’ comprehension. However, the comprehension questions are all together and I wish they were divided by chapter so I could easily assign the relevant questions after we read a given chapter.
