This product includes the following:

  • Four instructional pages (an explanation of cause and effect as well as a trick to remember which part is the cause and which part is the effect)
  • 36 task cards
  • An answer sheet
  • An answer key

I used task cards as independent practice for my students. They had to complete 5 cards, then turn the page in for grading. That way I could catch problems before they became permanent. I could differentiate who did which sets and when they got a sets of5 right, they were done with that set. The students loved doing them. These cards were great for that activity

I love teaching cause and effect and having students find examples on their own. I usually use a mentor text that the students can find examples for cause and effect. I still did that, but the cards are so wonderful and are a great “warm up” for honing in on the skill without being distracted by the story. Thank you for your wonderful products. They are on target and my kids (of course) love games!
