I used this with 4th & 5th graders in the library. We brainstormed acts of kindness they’d done over the past week, then read the book, and finally had them accept a challenge (from the provided cards) to do each week. We used them as bookmarks & left them for others to find in the library books they turned in the following week. They grab a new act of kindness each week in January. Loved it!

This activity is great in teaching SEL lessons. I love how each student has access to their own Googleslide and can follow along as we discuss being kind. I’m still working out the kinks, but it gets easier every time.
