My reluctant brain-injured/ ADHD learner needs fun, quick and easy when it comes to learning and this fit the boot!! I loved the work pages -with an example or worksheet per 1/2 page. We did 1 page a day to really spread it out, so he would remember what the term “personification” means. Although, he still has a hard time remembering the actual term – he learned the skill and without complaining either: Quite the opposite -he rather liked it.

Lori P –
I love using and teaching all types of figurative/non-literal language. Personification is usually one of the first types I teach. Still, year after year, my students tend to have trouble remembering what it is and recognizing it when they see it. I have used this resource to introduce alliteration, have the students read examples and verbally identify what is being personified and how, and also fill out the chart to do the same in writing. I haven’t used the activity sheets yet, but I think the students will have fun being creating ways to use the words and draw pictures to illustrate personification. I’m sure I’ll be using this one we get back to school face-to-face and for years to come. Thank you.

We used many components of this resource in our classroom. My students enjoyed using the task cards to review personification. We used them with a game. As groups got the correct answer, they were able to move on the game board. The task cards were on 4th grade standards but easy enough for my students with disabilities to use.
