COMMAS DECK:

This commas rules deck includes everything you need to teach your students about every comma rule out there! There are 11 different comma rules that are covered in this deck.

APOSTROPHES DECK:

This apostrophe deck includes practice for the apostrophe’s placement in contractions, singular possessive nouns, plural possessive nouns, and possessive pronouns.

This apostrophe deck includes:

• 45 task cards (9 apostrophe rules instructional cards and 36 apostrophe practice cards.)
• Task cards 1-9 help teach your students the different uses, rules, and placement of apostrophes.
• Task cards 10-21 are multiple-choice questions where your students will choose whether the placement of the apostrophe is correct or incorrect.
• Task cards 22-33 are multiple-choice questions where your students will choose the sentence that has the placement of the apostrophe correct.
• Task cards 34- 45 are multiple-choice questions where your students will choose the sentence that has an apostrophe mistake.

QUOTATION MARKS DECK:

Quotation Marks in Dialogue: Quotation marks and their placement can cause undue confusion for students. This deck provides quotation marks anchor charts and rules for student reference.

This product is aligned with the common core standards L.3.2c, L.4.2b, and L.5.2d related to quotation marks and other punctuation.

There are three distinct question types that require students to understand the correct placement of quotation marks.

This quotations deck includes:

• 45 task cards (9 quotation instructional cards and 36 quotation practice cards.)
• Task cards 1-9 help teach your students 7 different rules to consider when determining the correct placement of quotation marks.
• Task cards 10-21 are multiple-choice questions where your students will choose whether the sentence is correct or incorrect based on the quotation marks and other punctuations.
• Task cards 22-33 are multiple-choice questions where your students will choose the sentence that has the placement of the quotation marks written correctly.
• Task cards 34- 45 are multiple-choice questions where your students will choose the statement that is true about each sentence.

How do you assign the BOOM Cards to students?

• Login to Boom Learning or create a new account. You only need a free account! However, if you choose to upgrade, there are several options for assigning this resource!
• If using the FREE version of BOOM Learning, once you’re logged into your Boom teacher account, go to “Library,” find the deck you want students to use, click on “FastPin” and select “Generate New Pin.”
  Option #1: Copy and paste the complete link for students to play, or…
  Option #2: Go to the Boom main page (boomlearning.com) on a computer (or on the Boom app). Prompt students to click on the “FastPlay” button. Enter the pin and click “play.”
• If using a PAID version of BOOM Learning, you can do the following:
  Get reports about student progress and activity
  Easily assign students multiple decks to work on
  Create an entire classroom of student logins

Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards.
